boba funk speed painting

Here's a new speed painting.  I call it that only because the video is condensed,  this painting took several days to complete.  I learn the most from other painters when I can observe their process-I hope these videos are helpful or at the very least interesting.  Oil on board.  Enjoy.

Moleskine

Been working on the website... it's not finished yet but check out www.jppeer.com the next time you kiddies are navigating the internet.

But in the meantime....

Some new Moleskine pieces.

a.Houston Street (acrylic, gouache, pencil, ink)
   -this is one of three pieces I'm working on right now all inspired from the same block in LES (Houston street between ave C and D)

b.Space Roast (acrylic, gouache, pencil, ink)
-I've been wanting to finish this for awhile now, I drew this in a Starbucks in November and never had the time to finish painting it.

c.White Tanks (gouache, pencil)
-hiked the White Tanks during my winter break with Chubbs D. William and took some great photos.  This  is a quick study from a photo.

Enjoy.

class notes

I'm scanning some of my sketches for my website and figured I'd post some of them here.  I'll eventually post moleskine stuff, but in the meantime here are sketches on everything else.  Most of these were done during class, or at sushi restaurants.  More to come soon.
Enjoy.

the figure

I'm back....kind of.
The semester is just about over and I'm working hard on finishing my book. I don't want to post anything from the book until it is complete, but in the meantime I thought I'd post some paintings from my oil class.  Like most artists, I have studied the human figure for years.  I find the human body endlessly fascinating.   It amazes me how every figure is perfectly structured.  Every figure is balanced and beautiful- I am  grateful anyone would afford me the opportunity and I am  humbled by my attempts at representing our divine construction.
